Professor Traci Burch
Research Professor, American Bar Foundation
Associate Professor of Political Science, Northwestern University

"Media and Public Attention to Police Use of Lethal Force"

Though it seems like the use of lethal force by the police is at the top of the public agenda, research shows that surprisingly few of these incidents receive public attention, and many do not even make the news.  Professor Burch will present data from an ongoing project that explores how often incidents involving lethal force receive media and public attention, and what differentiates the cases that receive this attention from those that do not.

Lunch Available at 12:00 p.m.
Presentation to commence at 12:30 p.m.

Office of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz
51 West 52nd Street, 28th Floor
New York, NY
