Henry Ford's War on Jews and the Legal Battle Against Hate Speech, due this month from Stanford University Press, examines a watershed event in the life of Henry Ford - the 1927 federal libel lawsuit against him and his anti-Semitic newspaper the Dearborn Independent - from the perspective of the people who sought to stop him. Our reception will take place in the ornate "Million Dollar Courtroom" where the Sapiro v. Ford trial took place, meticulously reassembled in the early 1930s.
With remarks by author Victoria Woeste, Judge Avern Cohn, and others.
