"Law, Social Science, and the New Legal Realism"
What kind of difference can social science make in the real world of law reform, changing legal education, and other important challenges facing the legal profession? The American Bar Foundation has led the way in the New Legal Realism movement, which for over ten years has worked to answer that question--first in the U.S., and now increasingly in other parts of the world as well. Professor Mertz's presentation will give an overview of this movement and the ABF's role in it.
Featuring ABF Research Professor Elizabeth Mertz
