Pennsylvania Fellow Michael J. Foley

October 9, 2008, Fellows in the news, Abington Suburban

Pennsylvania Fellow Michael J. Foley was recently inaugurated as president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, formerly called the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. Foley was inaugurated during the association's 40th annual retreat in Philadelphia.

Foley's presidency marks the first time a PAJ president followed a parent to the association's highest office. His father, attorney Thomas J. Foley, Jr., served as association president from 1971 to 1979.

The Pennsylvania Association for Justice is the largest plaintiff's advocacy organization in the state. It often represents single mothers, renters and Pennsylvania residents who, because of financial constraints, would otherwise lack access to the court system. Foley is a partner in the law firm of Foley, McLane, Foley, McDonald & MacGregor, P.C. in Scranton.
