WOODBRIDGE, NJ - Robert S. Greenbaum and Wendell A. Smith of the township-based firm Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis recently were honored as two of the preeminent lawyers in the country by "Best Lawyers." Both have been listed in the lawyer-rating directory since its inception in 1983.

Greenbaum's practice concentrates on the representation of builder-investor entrepreneurs, financial institutions, brokers, contractors and users, in all aspects of real property transactions from acquisition through the land-use approval process, environmental regulations, financing, construction, leasing and sale. He is the co-recipient along with his brother, Arthur M. Greenbaum, of the 2007 Industry Service Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the first recipient of the ADR Practitioner of the Year Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section.

Smith focuses on land-use and planned real estate development, including large mixed-use projects as well as active adult, golf course and resort communities. He is a charter member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Community Associations Institute's College of Community Association Lawyers. He is a recipient of CAI's prestigious Byron Hanke Award for outstanding contributions to community associations. Smith also is the primary author of New Jersey Condominium and Community Association Law published by Gann Law Books.
