International Fellow Del W. Atwood

Attorney General and Justice Minister Ross Landry has announced the appointment of three new judges. Richard MacKinnon of Troy, Inverness Co., Jean M. Dewolfe of Wolfville and Del Atwood of New Glasgow will join the Family and Provincial Courts.

Mr. Atwood and Ms. Dewolfe currently serve on NSBS Council, representing Central District and Southwestern District, respectively. A practising member of for 23 years, Ms. Dewolfe has been a partner in the firm Muttart Tufts Dewolfe and Coyle since 1990, with a primary focus in family law. Mr. Atwood, a practising member for 25 years, is a senior Crown attorney with the Public Prosecution Service and was also recently elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. MacKinnon has been a practising member for 32 years, and is a senior Crown counsel with the Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service in Port Hawkesbury. All three are graduates of Dalhousie Law School.
