Illinois Life Patron Fellow Richard L. Thies, former American Bar Foundation board member and past Chair of The Fellows (1993-1994), was recently presented with the Founders Award by the Illinois Judges Association. The award recognizes a long-term commitment by an individual, who is not a member of the judiciary, to creating and maintaining an independent judiciary.
