Michael I. Bernstein, New York Life Fellow, Becomes Contributing Editor for Chambers USA Regional Guide to Employment Law

March 8, 2019, Fellows in the news

Michael I. Bernstein, ABF Life Fellow and Of Counsel to Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, was asked by Chambers USA to be its Contributing Editor of the inaugural Chambers Global Practice Guide, USA Regional Employment, 2019. The Guide covers 24 of this country’s States and the District of Columbia, inclusive of a chapter on New York Employment Law authored by Bond. It is directed at private sector global entities interested in identifying where in our country they may wish to establish a presence or enhance an existing one.

As the Contributing Editor to the Guide, Bernstein both authored its Introduction and determined the overall structure for each of the 25 chapter authors, predicated upon issues, trends, developments and related considerations such global entities would need to address in these unusual times of a rapidly changing “workplace.” While the primary focus is on federal employment law, examined from the perspective of its Regional authors, the Guide necessarily takes into account, as well, developments in state and local law where especially appropriate, and the impact of such factors as our socio-economic climate, the “gig” economy, social media, telecommuting, cyberspace, artificial intelligence and other technological developments and considerations.
