Brian J. Bergman, California Fellow, Secures Redevelopment Land for LA County

Brian J. Bergman, California Fellow and partner at Bergman Dacey Goldsmith,  has secured redevelopment land for LA County along with attorney Jason Barbato.  Bergman and Barbato created an eminent domain plan which showed that the land was necessary for public use. Their argument invoked the CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), which allows people to build "transit-oriented developments" more hastily and with less red tape. The redevelopment will include a transit plaza, a mixed-use complex with retail and affordable housing, and an experimental "24-hour public boarding school."
