Adwoa Ghartey-Tagoe Seymour, Georgia Fellow, Receives 2019 Corporate Counsel Rising Star Award

Adwoa Ghartey-Tagoe Seymour, Georgia Fellow and Assistant General Counsel at Cox Enterprises, has been awarded the 2019 Corporate Counsel Rising Star Award by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter. The Rising Star Award honors an outstanding attorney who has shown great promise and exponential potential in their first five years of practice an in in-house law department. Ms. Seymour also recently received the 2019 Judge Glenda A. Hatchett Volunteer of the Year Award from the Truancy Intervention Project (TIP) for her longstanding work in representing children, pro bono, in truancy proceedings. TIP strives to decrease chronic absenteeism by pairing trained volunteers with children who are chronically absent from school and, as a result, either become involved with the local juvenile court or are referred for early intervention at the school level.  Since its inception, TIP has served over 10,500 children.
