Illinois Fellow Andrew S. Boutros

October 7, 2014, Fellows in the news

Andrew S. Boutros is a prosecutor in the United States Attorney's Office in Chicago, where he has conducted some of the Office’s largest and most complex multi-district, international fraud investigations and prosecutions of business organizations and corporate executives. Earlier this year, Andrew was selected by the American Bar Association as the 2014 recipient of the Criminal Justice Section's Norm Maleng Minister of Justice Award. That award, which is conferred upon one prosecutor (federal, state, or local) in the United States per year, is bestowed on a prosecutor who exemplifies the principle that the “duty of the prosecutor is to seek justice, not merely to convict.” It is among the highest awards a prosecutor can receive from the ABA. Andrew was presented with the award on October 2, 2014 at the ABA's National Institute on International Regulation and Compliance in D.C.
