Illinois Life Patron Fellow John H. Morrison

In late June, Life Patron Fellow John H. Morrison of Evanston, IL, was awarded the inaugural George Parkin Service Award by the Rhodes Trustees at a celebratory dinner in Oxford.  The award reflects John’s extensive services to the Rhodes Scholarships.  He is president emeritus of the Association of American Rhodes Scholars and served 32 years on U. S. Rhodes Scholar selection committees.  George Parkin was a colleague of Cecil Rhodes and the person who put the Scholarships in place worldwide in 1903-04.
