Steven T. Walther, Nevada Life Patron Fellow and Past Fellows Chair, Elected to Serve as Vice Chairman of the Federal Election Commission for 2016

Steven T. Walther, Nevada Life Patron Fellow and Past Fellows Chair, has been elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for 2016. Mr. Walther, who was also a State Chair and on the ABF Board, has previously held both Chairman and Vice Chairman positions with the FEC. Currently, Mr. Walther serves as a Commissioner for the FEC.

The Federal Election Commission is an independent regulatory agency that administers and enforces federal campaign finance laws. Established in 1975, the FEC is composed of six Commissioners who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
