Michael H. Byowitz, Fellows Chair and New York Life Leadership Fellow, Nominated to ABF Board of Directors

Michael H. Byowitz – a Life Leadership Fellow who currently serves as Chair of the Fellows – is a nominee to the American Bar Foundation board of directors. Mike is a former State Co-Chair of the New York Fellows (his Co-Chair Sharon Gerstman recently took office as the President of the New York State Bar Association). In addition to Mike's service to the Fellows and the ABF, Mike is a nominee for the ABA Board of Governors, to be elected at the 2017 ABA Annual Meeting in New York. Mike is Of Counsel at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he was a partner for more than 30 years. He specializes in antitrust and competition law with particular reference to mergers and acquisitions.
