Jennifer M. Chacon, New York Fellow, Co-authors "New York Times" Op-Ed on Presidential Authority and Immigration

Jennifer M. Chacon, New York Fellow and Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law, has co-authored an op-ed for the New York Times entitled  No, Mr. President, Your Immigration Powers Are Not Unlimited. The piece is in response to President Trump's recent words suggesting a temporary ban on all immigrant visa administrations. Professor Chacon and co-author Erwin Chemerinsky argue that a freeze on immigration admissions will not protect public health or save jobs. They also discuss the hardship a ban would impose on those with immigrant visas.
