An Update from the ABF: Events, Research, and Staffing During COVID-19

Dear friends and colleagues,

I hope this message finds you and your family safely navigating the COVID-19 crisis. I want to assure you that we at the American Bar Foundation (ABF) are doing everything we can to keep our staff, scholars, and volunteers safe. The ABF has temporarily closed its physical offices and moved all work remotely. We are confident that you will not experience any disruption in the usual speedy responses and cordial interactions we pride ourselves upon. As always, you may contact the Fellows staff office at (800) 292-5065 or with any questions or concerns you may have.

The ABF is committed to excellence in advancing justice and the understanding of law. Thus, the ABF’s scholarship and research will continue uninterrupted except for temporarily suspending internal ABF research events and in-person meetings with human subjects.

All Fellows and general ABF events through May 5 have been cancelled. For the current status of Fellows events,  click here.  If you purchased a ticket to a cancelled event, you may request a ticket refund, or you may donate the cost of the ticket as a tax-deductible charitable contribution to the ABF. Please contact Katy Traxler, Fellows Events Manager, at or (312) 988-6560 for more information.

Many thanks again for your vital support of the ABF.  Please be safe.

Best regards,
