Tenant Screening and Fair Housing Law in the Information Age
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I am a research professor at the American Bar Foundation looking for local rental property owners to participate in an interview-based study about their experiences during COVID-19.
The goal of this study is to better understand the impact of the pandemic on the rental housing industry and how landlords are responding to its challenges, including lost rental income, legal restrictions on eviction filing, and navigating rental assistance programs.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Landlords over the age of 18, particularly owners of smaller buildings.
PARTICIPATION: These interviews will be conducted by phone or Zoom and last approximately an hour. Participants will be compensated for their time with a $50 Amazon gift card. Interviews are strictly confidential and no names or personally identifying information will appear in my notes or reports.
