Professor Rosado Marzán joined Iowa Law in Fall 2020. Prior to coming to Iowa Law he taught at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he also was Co-director of the Institute for Law of the Workplace. Before becoming a professor, he worked in New York City law firms representing labor unions and employees. Prof. Rosado Marzán has also been a visiting faculty member or scholar at Iowa College of Law, the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid School of Law, Stockholm University's Law Department, the American Bar Foundation, and the Oñati Institute for the Sociology of Law. Professor Rosado Marzán has taught classes in Contracts, Employment Law, Labor Law, and International & Comparative Labor & Employment Law. He will teach Employment Discrimination in the spring of 2021.

Professor Rosado Marzán’s scholarship has focused on empirical and doctrinal studies of U.S., comparative, and international labor and employment law. His most recent book, Principled Labor Law: U.S. Labor Law from a Latin American Method (Oxford 2019) won the Simón Bolivar Prize for Best Juridical Work from the Bar Association of Puerto Rico (Colegio de Abogados y Abogadas de Puerto Rico). His current project explores how small and underfunded worker centers help to promote moral economies that expand workers’ rights in the United States.
