Ryan Goehrung and Rachel Castellano

Ryan Goehrung is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Washington. His research focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in political institutions and the implications for policy making, with a specialization in Southeast Asia. He has worked in international development, including on anti–human trafficking initiatives with the Philippines government and US-based nonprofits.

Rachel Castellano is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Washington. Her research explores human trafficking in the United States and how anti-trafficking nonprofits choose to serve specific groups of people. She also researches climate migration and the role that non-state actors play in addressing it.
