Barrett H. Reasoner, Life Fellow, Named Recipient of ADL 2025 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award

December 12, 2024

Barrett H. Reasoner, Life Fellow, was named as one of the recipients of Anti-Defamation League Southwest’s 2025 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award. He’ll be sharing the award with his sister, Macey Reasoner Stokes, in a first for the award. They are continuing their parents’ legacy: their father, Harry M. Reasoner, a Patron Fellow, received the Jurisprudence Award, and both he and their mother, Macey Hodges Reasoner, have been honored with the Torch of Liberty Award.

ADL Southwest presents the Jurisprudence award annually to an outstanding member of the legal community who exhibits a commitment to equality, justice, fairness and community service. The award will be presented at the Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award Luncheon on Tuesday, April 1, in Houston, TX.

Reasoner is currently a partner at Gibbs & Bruns out of Houston, where his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including areas such as energy, construction, securities, and intellectual property. In addition to being a Fellow of the ABF, he is Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and The International Society of Barristers and a member of the American Law Institute.
