Carolyn Witherspoon will be inducted into the Arkansas Bar Association’s Legal Hall of Fame in November of this year. The Hall of Fame honors individuals and institutions whose service, leadership and contributions have made a lasting impact on the legal profession and the people of Arkansas.

Witherspoon is currently Of Counsel at Rose Law Firm, which joined with Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, a firm that Witherspoon co-founded. She primarily represents public and private employers in defending employment related matters, including Title VII litigation and does extensive training in the employment area for employers. She was also the 2023 recipient of the ABF Fellows Distinguished Life Fellow Award, in New Orleans, LA.
She was the first woman to serve as president of the Arkansas Bar Association and serves as the Arkansas delegate to the American Bar Association. She was an original founder of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and has served as past president.
