Dr. Elizabeth Zechenter, Georgia Fellow, will be moderating a webinar hosted by the Jagiellonian Law Society titled “Lemkin, Genocide, and the Modern World.” The webinar will feature Ambassador Stephen Rapp, the former United States Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice as the keynote speaker.

The Jagiellonian Law Society is a voluntary legal association comprised of a diverse group of professionals (lawyers, judges, law faculty, and law students) who are interested in, or have roots in Polish and Central/Eastern European (CEE) cultures and is nonsectarian and nonpartisan. This seminar is the second part of a webinar series discussing “genocide” and its applicability to the current events in Ukraine and beyond.

Dr. Zechenter is currently a visiting scholar at Emory University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She also serves in multiple different chair and co-chair roles for various ABA Sections and groups and is the President of the Jagiellonian Law Society.
