Edward Lindsey, Jr., Georgia Fellow, was announced as a recipient of the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service. The award comes from the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism and the award ceremony was held on March 2, 2023.
The award is named in honor of The Honorable Robert Benham, who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia from 1995 to 2001 and worked to focus the attention of lawyers and judges on the community and public service aspects of professionalism. The award was created and named after him in 1997 and seeks to honor lawyers and judges who have made outstanding contributions in the area of community service.
Lindsey is a member of Dentons’ Public Policy practice and serves as the head of the Firm’s Georgia State Government Affairs team. He spent 10 years at a Georgia state representative and three terms as the House majority whip.
