Erik A. Christiansen, Life Fellow, Named 2026 Recipient of the Raymond S. Uno Award for the Advancement of Minorities in the Legal Profession

Erik A. Christiansen, Life Fellow, was named as the 2026 recipient of the Raymond S. Uno Award for the Advancement of Minorities in the Legal Profession from the Utah State Bar. He was presented with the award at the 2026 Spring Convention in St. George. The Raymond S. Uno award recognizes a Utah State Bar attorney whose professionalism, public service, and dedication improves the legal profession, enhances the administration of justice, and the delivery of legal services in Utah.

Christiansen is currently a shareholder at Parsons Behle & Latimer in Salt Lake City. Within the ABA, he is a member of the Executive Committee and is on the Board of Governors. In addition, he has previously served as President of the Utah State Bar, President of the Utah Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and Chair of both the Litigation Section and Securities Section of the Utah State Bar.

His efforts to expand access to minorities have involved founding the Utah Chapter of the American Bar Association’s Judicial Intern Opportunity Program to expand access to judicial internships for historically underrepresented law students and volunteered with the ABA’s Immigration Justice Project, representing asylum seekers detained at the Otay Mesa Detention Center.
