Five ABF Fellows Honored by Indiana Lawyer at Diversity in Law Awards Breakfast

Five ABF Fellows were honored by Indiana Lawyer at the inaugural Diversity in Law Breakfast. The award seeks to recognize attorneys and judges who have contributed to the efforts to diversify the Indiana legal profession.

The five Fellows honored are:

Norris Cunningham, Fellow

Honorable Justice Steven H. David, Fellow

Professor David H.K. Nguyen, Fellow

Shelice Tolbert, Life Fellow

Honorable Judge G. Michael Witte, Indiana State Chair and Life Fellow

Norris Cunningham is currently a member of Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Indianapolis office, where his practice focuses on healthcare dispute resolution including trial practice, regulatory advocacy, commercial litigation, and arbitration. Justice Steven H. David most recently served as a Justice on the Indiana Supreme Court. Prior to his civilian legal career, he served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps on active duty until 1986 and reserve duty until 2010.

David H.K. Nguyen is an assistant professor of Urban Education Leadership and Policy and an adjunct professor of law at IUPUI. His focus in academia surrounds areas of education law and policy. Shelice Tolbert is one of the founders of her current firm, Tolbert & Tolbert. Her practice has focused primarily in insurance defense with a focus on commercial litigation and coverage issues. Judge G. Michael Witte most recently served as the Executive Director of the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission.
