Four Fellows Named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly 2024 Leaders in the Law List

Four Fellows were named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly 2024 Leaders in the Law List. The Leaders in the Law is an annual peer-based awards program that honors lawyers setting the standard for other lawyers.

The four Fellows named are: Patricia A. Markus, Robert J. King III, Julian H. Wright, Jr. and Edward P. O’Keefe.

Robert J. King III is currently a partner at Brooks Pierce, in their Greensboro office. His practice focuses primarily on litigation, with trials on corporate/shareholder disputes, wrongful death actions (representing both plaintiffs and defendants), enforcement of restrictive covenants, toxic tort, employment disputes, breach of contract actions, and eminent domain.

Patricia “Trish” Markus is currently a partner at Nelson Mullins, in their Raleigh office. She represents healthcare providers and health technology companies across the country on wide-ranging regulatory compliance, reimbursement, licensure, and operational matters, with a special focus on issues surrounding health information privacy, security, and technology.

Edward P. O’Keefe is currently the co-head of Financial Regulatory Advice & Response for Moore & Van Allen. Part of his practice includes advising and representing financial institutions. He is the former Global General Counsel of Bank of America Corporation.

Julian H. Wright, Jr. is currently an attorney with Robinson Bradshaw, where his practice focuses on employment law, business litigation, and government and internal investigations. He also regularly litigates in North Carolina’s Business Court and is a Superior Court mediator.
