Jennifer Haltom Doan, Life Fellow, Sworn in as National President of the American Board of Trial Advocates

March 19, 2025

Jennifer Haltom Doan, Life Fellow, was sworn in as the National President of the American Board of Trial Advocates at the organization’s National Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference on January 25. She was sworn in by Justice Ruby Sondock (Ret.), the first female justice to serve on the Texas Supreme Court.

With her swearing in, Ms. Doan became the 66th National President of ABOTA and the sixth female president in its history. During her term, she hopes to further the organization’s vision, including enhancing public understanding of the constitutional right to a jury trial and promoting new technologies within the legal profession.

Doan is currently the managing partner of Haltom & Doan, where her practice has focused on product liability, intellectual property, antitrust, class action, personal injury and bet-the-company litigation. She has served ABOTA in many ways, such as President of TEX-ABOTA, National Secretary, and is an elected trustee of the ABOTA Foundation.
