Judge Peter Reyes, Minnesota Fellow, Awarded UIA’s 2022 National Committee of the Year

Honorable Judge Peter Reyes, Minnesota Fellow, was awarded the UIA’s 2022 National Committee of the Year Award. Judge Reyes currently serves as the president of the United States National Committee of the International Association of Lawyers/ Unión Internacional de Abogados/Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA).

The UIA was formed in 1927 and has thousands of individual members and over 200 bar associations from 110 countries around the world. The UIA seeks to advocate for human rights, the rights of lawyers, and the independence of of the judiciary.

Judge Reyes currently serves as a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where he has been since his appointment in 2014. In addition to being a Fellow of the ABF, Judge Reyes also serves on the Fellows Research Advisory Council and was President of the Hispanic National Bar Association from 2012-2013.
