Tennessee Life Fellow and Adams and Reese partner Lucian T. Pera will be presented with the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility’s 2022 Michael Franck Professional Responsibility Award at a June 2, 2022 ceremony in Baltimore, Maryland. The award was created to celebrate innovative and influential practitioners in the field of legal ethics, who have dedicated their careers to ensuring that the legal profession continues to maintain high standards of honesty and community care.

Mr. Pera is a public speaker and thought leader on lawyer regulation and ethics, expertise he sharpened when he helped rewrite the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct as the youngest member of the ABA Ethics 2000 Commission. He has previously served as the ABA Treasurer, and currently acts as a representative on the ABA House of Delegates. Mr. Pera’s history of service and leadership has also seen him on the boards of the American Bar Endowment and American Bar Foundation, in the presidency for the Tennessee Bar Association and Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and the chairmanship of the ABA Bloomberg Lawyer’s Manual on Professional Conduct. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.
