Nicholas Allard, New York Fellow, was announced as the founding Dean of the College of Law at Jacksonville University. The university announced the plan to establish a law school on February 28, 2022 and will begin classes on August 8th, 2022.
The College of Law will be in downtown Jacksonville, within the VyStar building. The university is seeking accreditation and hopes to achieve the standard by 2023.
Mr. Allard currently serves as senior counsel at Dentons and previously served as the Joseph Crea Dean (2012-2018), President (2014-2018) and as a tenured professor at Brooklyn Law School. He has also held leadership positions as a Rhodes Scholas alumnus, such as leading a district Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee.
