Recap of the Fellows Events at the 2024 Annual Meeting

August 14, 2024

The Fellows events got kicked off with the Fellows CLE Friday morning, featuring a presentation from ABF Research Professor Traci Burch and a panel discussion featuring Professor Ray Block Jr., of The Pennsylvania State University and RAND, Professor Alexandra Filindra of University of Illinois Chicago, and Brandon Jones of the Southern Poverty Law Center, that was moderated by Professor Burch. You can find the audio recording of the CLE and photos below.

Later that night, Fellows came together at the Fellows Opening Reception at the Chicago Architecture Center to catch up after section meetings and presentations and explore the history of Chicago. Photos from the night can be found below.

It wouldn’t be the Fellows events at the Annual Meeting without the Fellows Business Breakfast on Saturday morning. Attendees were fortunate to hear from keynote speaker Jarrett Adams, author of the book, “Redeeming Justice,” a memoir about his harrowing journey through the inner workings of the legal and prison systems and the triumph that follows as an exoneree and passionate, committed lawyer that he is today.  Photos from the event can be found below.

We wrapped up Fellows events on Sunday night, with the Life Fellow Champagne Toast and Fellows Sing-Along, two long-standing and beloved Fellows traditions.
