Reginald M. Turner, Leadership Fellow and Past National Fellows Chair, Named 2024 Recipient of the Founders Award from the Michigan State Bar Foundation

Reginald M. “Reggie” Turner, Leadership Fellow, was named as the 2024 recipient of the Founders Award from the Michigan State Bar Foundation. The Founders Award seeks to recognize a lawyer who exemplifies professional excellence and outstanding commitment to serving the community.

Reginald M. Turner

Turner is now retired, but was most recently at Clark Hill, out of their Detroit office. His practice focused on litigation regarding commercial, employment, labor, class action, and public policy matters. He served as a White House Fellow under President Bill Clinton and worked for U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretaries Henry Cisneros and Andrew Cuomo.

Turner previously served on the Board of Directors for the ABF, in addition to being the National Fellows Chair in 2018-2019 and the Fellows Research Advisory Committee Chair in 2017-2018. He also served as president of the American Bar Association in 2021- 2022 and president of the State Bar of Michigan in 2002-2003.
