Richard M. Murray, Life Fellow, Named the Distinguished Achievement Award for Private Practice Recipient for 2026

May 12, 2026

Richard M. Murray, Life Fellow, was honored at the University of Colorado Law School’s 45th Annual Law Alumni Awards Banquet and received the 2026 Distinguished Achievement for Private Practice award. He was presented with the award on March 26.

The event recognizes alumni and friends for their contributions to the legal profession, community service, and law school dedication. The Private Practice award specifically honors an individual in private practice who exemplifies professionalism, ethics, integrity, community or pro bono service, and service to Colorado Law.

Murray is a shareholder in the Denver office of Polsinelli, where his practice focuses on complex litigation matters in the commercial and health care space. Before private practice, he was a law clerk for Colorado Supreme Court Justice Nathan B. Coats. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Denver Bar Association and previously served as Chair of the Colorado Access to Justice Commission (ATJC), President of Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. (CBA-CLE), and Chair of CU’s Law Alumni Board.
