Nearly a century after hanging their shingle, top insurance law firm Meagher & Geer has appointed Minnesota Sustaining Life Fellow Stacy Broman as their first woman Managing Partner. Ms. Broman has spent her 20 years at the firm developing a powerful reputation as one of the leading litigators in the field of professional liability and insurance coverage. After a decade on the firm’s Management Committee and meaningful service with a variety of legal organizations, her new role offers an excellent opportunity to extend her leadership even further.

Ms. Broman is a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, for whom she served on the Board of Regents for six years. She also took on a leadership role for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, serving as a board member from 2014 – 2020 and winning a diversity award due to her efforts on the diversity, admissions, and membership committees. In addition to the ABF Fellows, Ms. Broman is a Senior Fellow for another honor society, the Litigation Counsel of America, where she helped found the Insurance Litigation Institute of America.

Ms. Broman’s other commitments include the Minnesota Women Lawyers and Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services’ Campaign for Legal Aid. Her work has been recognized by publications such as The Best Lawyers in America and Minnesota Super Lawyers Magazine, and she has been included on the Top 100 and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers lists.
