The Thomas Davison III Memorial Service Award is a special recognition that honors an individual who demonstrates extraordinary service and dedication to making a difference in the University of Miami School of Law. The award was created in honor and memory of former President of the Law Alumni Association and University of Miami Trustee Thomas Davison III, who was an admired and dedicated volunteer to the school.

Carman is currently a Shareholder at GrayRobinson, out of the Miami office, where she advises clients on regulatory, investigative, litigation and corporate matters with a special focus on the healthcare industry. She is the immediate past president of the law alumni association and is a past President of the Dade County Bar Association and the fifth woman to hold the position.
