Thomas R. Curtin, Life Fellow, Named 2026 Recipient of the American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Third Circuit

Thomas R. Curtin, Life Fellow, was named as the 2026 recipient of the American Inns of Court Third Circuit Professionalism Award. The Professionalism Awards are awarded each year to a lawyer or judge whose life and practice display character and integrity and show a dedication to the highest standards of the legal profession and the rule of law.

Curtin was presented with the award during a special awards ceremony in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in May. He is currently a partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, which he joined in 2018, out of their Morristown, NJ office.

He has served the ABA as a member of the House of Delegates and as the ABA governor for New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Since 2009, he has chaired the Lawyers Advisory Committee of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and he is also a founding member of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals Bar Association. At the state level, he has served as president of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Foundation.
