Three ABF Fellows Honored with 2022 ABA Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Awards

April 29, 2022

The American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession has selected five professionals to present with the 2022 ABA Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award. Three of the five honorees are Fellows of the American Bar Foundation:

  • Professor Michele Goodwin, Fellow
  • Christina L. Martini, Life Fellow
  • Laura Schumacher, Life Fellow

The Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Awards recognize experienced women lawyers who have continued the legacy of Margaret Brent, the first woman lawyer in America. Just like Brent, these honorees are skilled negotiators, litigators, and highly regarded leaders in a variety of professional settings. The honorees exemplify success on either a national, regional, or local level and have continued to forge the path for other women in the legal profession.

The ceremony will take place in conjunction with the ABA Annual Meeting on Sunday, August 7, 2022. To see the full list of 2022 Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award Honorees, click here.
