Benny Agosto Jr., Patron Fellow, and Travis J. Sales, Life Fellow, were honored at the HBF Annual Luncheon. Agosto took the helm of the Houston Bar Foundation, as the 2026 Chair and Sales was presented with the 2026 James B. Sales Pro Bono Leadership Award.

In addition to serving as the Houston Bar Foundation chair for 2026, Benny Agosto Jr. has established The Agosto Justice Center for Leadership and Empowerment at South Texas College of Law Houston, and served as the President of multiple organizations, like the Houston Bar Association and the Hispanic National bar Association. He is a managing partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner.

Travis J. Sales was honored with the Pro Bono Leadership award for his sustained commitment to access to justice. He served as the chair of the Houston Volunteer Lawyers and during his time as Houston Bar Association President launched the Veterans’ Legal Initiative, which later became a statewide model.
