May 09, 2024

The Port of New Orleans is currently in a period of growth, as it is investing a new container terminal project, known as the Louisiana International Terminal. The proposed terminal will serve vessels of all sizes, providing goods to support Louisiana’s homes and businesses. Port NOLA is in the environmental review process, with a final report anticipated this year submitted to the Army Corps of Engineers to determine if permits for construction will be issued.

Leger is currently a Senior Partner at Leger & Shaw. He is the past President of the New Orleans Bar Foundation and the New Orleans Bar Association. The Louisiana Bar Journal named him a “Louisiana Legal Legend.” He received the “President’s Award” for leadership and public service from the New Orleans Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Justice.
