Darren Skinner, Fellow, Honored with Pinnacle Award by the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies

Darren Skinner, Fellow, was honored by the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies with their Pinnacle Award. The American Foundation for The University of The West Indies (AFUWI) has provided approximately 500 tuition scholarships to students across the Caribbean region, donated $7.5M in goods and brokered multiple relationships with other tier one institutions.

Skinner was recognized for his “unparalleled professional success” in law, operating with the “highest degree of integrity, ethics, and competence” and being “actively engaged in serving community and charitable causes.” The gala’s other honorees included the President of Guyana.

He is currently a partner at Arnold and Porter, in their Washington D.C. office, where his practice focused on corporate and securities matters. He also maintains a strong pro bono practice through organizations like the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center’s Small Business Brief Advice Legal Clinic, the Startup Legal Clinic, and Nonprofit Policies Clinic.
