As president of AALS for the year, her theme is Courage in Action, which she says reflects her view that “..will continue to accomplish ambitious goals in the legal academe, provided we pursue our aims tenaciously and bravely with an open mind.”

Dean Wilson is currently the Dean at Washington and Lee University School of Law and is the Roy L. Steinheimer Jr. Professor of Law. She joined Washington and Lee in July of 2022 and her areas of expertise include criminal procedure, prosecutors, the Fourth and Sixth Amendments, and juries. In 2011, she received the Howard M. and Susan Immel Award for Teaching Excellence at the University of Kansas School of Law and was also named Outstanding Woman Educator of 2015 by the University of Kansas.
