Diana Gomez, Texas Life Fellow, was sworn in as the 2023-2024 President of the Houston Bar Association. Her swearing in makes her the first Latina and sixth woman to serve as HBA President in the organization’s 153-year history.

The HBA is one of the largest metropolitan Bar associations, as it has over 10,00 members. As president, her priorities are promoting community service, fostering attorney engagement, and reinvigorating pipeline programs. She has served on its board of directors since 2014 and has also chaired numerous HBA committees, including the Law and the Media Committee, the HBA Dispute Resolution Committee, the Houston Lawyer Referral Service, and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Ms. Gomez is currently a shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka in their Houston office, where her practices focuses on complex labor and employment disputes. She has long been involved with the HBA, serving as their employment attorney.
