Judge David Veile was named as the 2025 recipient of the 2025 William M. Leech Jr. Public Service Award. The Fellows of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division presented Judge Veile with the award during the Lawyers Luncheon in June.

The award is named for former Attorney General William M. Leech Jr. The award is given each year to a Tennessee lawyer who has been of outstanding service to the profession, the legal system, and their community.
Judge Veile is currently a Circuit Court judge and chancellor for the 21st Judicial District, which serves Williamson County. In 2006, he was elected to serve on the TBA YLD Board and eventually became the president of the section from 2012-2013.
