Judge Peter Reyes Jr., Fellow, was one of three appointments to the Uniform Law Commission. He will serve in a two-year term, as a representative for the state of Minnesota to the Commission on Uniform State Laws.
The Commission on Uniform State Laws studies and provides recommendations and drafting services for uniform acts around the country. The Commission was established in 1892 to research, draft, and promote the enactment of uniform state laws such as the Uniform Commercial Code, the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, and the Uniform Trust Code.
Judge Reyes was appointed in 2014 by Governor Mark Dayton to serve as a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Reyes serves on the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules of Criminal Procedure and is co-chair of the Court of Appeals’ Equal Justice Committee.
