Kelly Matayoshi, Fellow, Receives Alum of the Year Award from UC Law San Francisco

Kelly Matayoshi, Fellow, was named as the 2025 Recipient of the Alum of the Year Award from UC Law San Francisco. She was presented with the award on April 4, during Spring Week, which is a weeklong celebration of UC Law San Francisco’s alumni community.

The Alum of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose engagement and volunteerism have significantly enriched the UC Law SF community, embodying the spirit of giving back. Matayoshi has served UC Law San Francisco on the Board of Governors and is currently on the Foundation Board of Trustees.

She is currently a Partner at Farella Braun and Martel, out of their San Francisco office, where her practice focuses on business litigation, in addition to employment experience. She also serves as the firm’s Hiring Partner. She is currently the President of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and has been involved in the ABA Section of Litigation, including serving as their Managing Director from 2023-2024.
