Lynette Hotchkiss, Fellow, Receives ABA Business Law Section Chair Award

November 12, 2025

Lynette Hotchkiss, Fellow, has been named the 2025 Section Chair Award recipient by the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. The annual award recognizes one member among the Section’s 30,000 participants for exceptional leadership, service, and dedication to advancing the ABA’s mission.

A Member of McGlinchey Stafford’s Financial Institutions Compliance team, Hotchkiss brings more than two decades of consumer finance and regulatory experience to her practice. Before joining the firm, she held senior legal and executive roles at major financial institutions and served as a senior attorney and investigator at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Within the ABA, she has held numerous leadership positions over the past 20 years and now serves as editor-in-chief of Business Law Today, the Section’s flagship publication. Hotchkiss is also a former Regent of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers and a member of the Governing Committee for the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
