Michelle Behnke, Patron Fellow, was sworn in as the president of the American Bar Association at the Annual Meeting in Toronto. As of her swearing in, she becomes only the second State Bar of Wisconsin member to become president of the ABA.
She has served the ABA in many roles, from Treasurer from 2017-2020, to chairing the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession, and as a member of the ABA Board of Governors from 2010-2013.
Behnke is currently an attorney with Boardman Clark, specifically practicing in their business, real estate, and estate planning practice groups. In 2004, she was awarded the YWCA Women of Distinction award and the University of Wisconsin Law School LEO Alumnus Award.
