The Miami Leadership Summit was held at the Miami-Dade College – Wolfson Campus. The convening brought together leading scholars, legal practitioners, and media representatives in the Miami area to explore key areas of opportunity through educational innovation, broadcasting, and a vibrant economy.

As a part of this roundtable, two white papers were presented:

  1. Hispanic Miami: Diversity and Inequality in the Global City, written by Professor Alejandro Portes. This white paper focuses on the history of the diversity and subsequent social inequality of the Latinx community in the Miami region.
  2. The Cuban-American Transition: Demographic and Ideological Change in the Cuban-American Population of Miami, written by Professor Guillermo Grenier. You can assess a recording of the paper presentation here.
