The Southern Roundtable was held at Duke Law School on November 1-2, 2019.

As part of this roundtable, three white papers were presented:

  1. Latinas/os in the South: An Overview, written by Professor Perla Guerrero. This white paper presents the history of Latinx in the South.
  2. Latinos in the Southern United States: Trends and Patterns, written by Professors Douglas Massey and Amelie Constant. This white paper provides a statistical snapshot of the Latinx population in the South.
  3. Latinxs Reshaping Law & Policy in the U.S. South, written by Professor Luz Herrera and Dr. Pilar Hernández Escontrías. This paper addresses the key law and policy levers that affect Latinx population in the South.
