Sharon L. Brown, Fellow, was named as this year’s recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Attorney Professionalism Award. The Attorney Professionalism Award is presented by the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Attorney Professionalism each year on Law Day.
The Attorney Professionalism Award recognizes a member of the NYSBA for outstanding professionalism, which is defined as dedication to service to clients and a commitment to promoting respect for the legal system in pursuit of justice and the public good, characterized by exemplary ethical conduct, competence, good judgment, integrity, and civility.
Brown is a partner at Barclay Damon where she serves as co-chair of Barclay Damon’s Public Finance Practice Area, as the firm’s opportunity, inclusion, and belonging partner and as chair of the Opportunity, Inclusion & Belonging Partner Committee. She also expanded and revamped the firm’s summer associate program, including leadership development workshops. Outside of the firm, she is a federal income tax adjunct professor at New York Law School.
